NABS Bus Rally and Running Day

This annual event will “attract more than twenty visiting vehicles some of which provide free rides around the South Nottinghamshire countryside“ say host Nottingham Area Bus Society (NABS). 

The popular NABS Bus Rally and Running Day is open to the public on Sunday 17th July between 10am and 4pm at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre (NTHC). The entry fee is £5 for adults and under fifteens, if accompanied can go in for free.

Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre is one of Ruddington’s main visitor attractions.  In addition to the vintage buses, it’s a great place for a family day out with miniature railways – £1 is charged to ride the mini railway – model railways and (usually) a full size standard gauge railway covering some nine miles (which is currently not operational, however).

Also there’s The Heritage Cafe serving hot meals, snacks and drinks. It’s usually open at the weekends from 10am to 4pm (and also on Wednesdays).
